Terrarium Care
Most high-humidity terrariums are constructed with a drainage layer (rocks, clay pellets, or sand) on the bottom, screen or spagnum moss separator layer, and a substrate (soil) layer on the top.
The terrarium should never be allowed to dry out. In fact, there should be 1/4 of standing water visible in the drainage layer, depending on the size of your terrarium. This will indicate when to add water. Do not over fill the drainage layer; you want the substrate above to be moist, not wet.
If your terrarium came with a lid or cork stopper, condensation will form in the container (which is natural) if you leave it closed. Leaving the terrarium closed or open is up to personal preference.
Place terrariums in medium to medium-high light, away from direct sunlight or drafty windows.
